Son House's "Country Farm Blues" likely refers to the Mississippi State Penitentiary, known as "Parchman Farm". Son House served two years of a 15 year sentence on Parchman Farm in the late 1920's, after which time he moved to Lula, Mississippi and began playing alongside Charlie Patton and Willie Brown.

Son was known for his bottleneck slide guitar playing and declamatory delivery. Here we re-imagine his song using gourd banjo and tabla.
